II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

It's hard paying the price...

for good cookware---but I have decided to do it! My mom had a Pampered Chef party tonight and since she booked off my show, I got to choose any 2 items at 60% off. I never in a million years expected to buy much of anything tonight..and CERTAINLY not a set of cookware for $345...but I did! I got a 7 peice set of cookware and an 8" saute pan both for my 60% off items. Then I ordered a few other things with my 10% discount. In all, I spent about $180....but here is how I am justifying it.
I am fixing to celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary. The cookware I am using right now is the same stuff I got at my wedding shower 10 years ago. It was CHEAP then. All the non-stick coating has come off and now I just have silver-speckled pots and pans. I have never, in all these years, owned a nice peice of cookware. Yet, I cook almost EVERY day. We buy nice clothes, nice cars, nice house, nice lawnmowers, nice drills/saws, nice furniture....so why shouldn't I be using nice cookware? I mean, a lot of the stuff we buy we only use occasionally..but this is something I will use practically every single day and it even has a lifetime guarantee!
I am totally stoked about having it. I think cooking is going to be so much more fun now that I won't have to scrape everything off the bottom of all my pans. Plus clean up will surely be much easier since right now everything that hits the bottom of my pots or skillets burns immediately and then I have to let it soak with water for an hour before I can even begin to get the stuff off.
Anyhow, that's what I'm thinking about tonight...how much money I just spent---but what a good use of money it is.
How many of you have good cookware?

We registered for some pricey cookware. But keep in mind that we use it everyday. And we absolutely love it. The one thing I am still craving though is one of those Le Creuset Dutch Ovens - they are sooooo awesome. One day though. Enjoy your new stuff!

I actually earned the 7 piece Pampered Chef Executive Cookware Set for FREE this past fall!!! Woo-Hoo! It pays to sell this stuff. :)
Anyway, I LOVE IT!!! I'm like you, I use it every day, so I should use good cookware. I wouldn't mind Stephen buying good tools, so he shouldn't mind me buying good cookware that I use "EVERY DAY"! But I didn't have to buy it. :) hee hee
I also have the small Executive Saute Pan, the Grill Pan and Grill Press, the Executive 12" Family Skillet and Lid, and the small Stainless Steel Saute Pan. I got ALL of this for Free (except the 12" skillet, I got it at 60% off). :)
You will LOVE IT! Just remember to keep your receipt for your lifetime warranty...and also remember to not ever put it in the dishwasher. It is so easy to clean, you just run a soapy rag around it, and it is spotless! Everything comes right off. I even scramble eggs, and make pancakes in this cookware, without using any oil! It is amazing! Nothing sticks! I'm so addicted to it. This is the first time that I have ever had nice cookware, and now I could never go back to that cheap stuff I had before.
It is more than worth the price you paid. You got a GREAT deal! Congratulations!!!! I know you'll enjoy it as much as I do.
Love ya!

So I used to be a pampered chef consultant before I moved to Oklahoma and I loved it and hope to one day do it again! I have so much of their product and it is worth every penny! I think you made a good choice! You go girl!

My parents bought us some good quality pots and pans as a wedding gift. We've been married ten years, almost 11 now, and they are still wonderful to use. You pay for the good stuff, but it's worth it. Hope you LOVE it!

I used to have this huge list of things I wanted...or should I say...needed for our kitchen. New silverware, tupperware (or rubbermaid but tupperware just sounds better!), a Kitchen Aid Mixer, a new nut chopper, a knife block etc. etc. and one by one over the past 3 months I managed to get everything on my list!!...except cookware! I still need that...although mine is not as bad as your sounded...still...I want some! I am jealous! It's next!

I have a decent set, but have gotten a few pieces as gifts over the last couple of years to upgrade. You have to be careful about teflon coatings that are peeling because there are studies with strong links to cancer and other issues. An upgrade is a wise choice for your family's health.
