Okay...as you all know..I've been sick for the past week. It started with strep throat and has evloved into a smorgasboard of illnesses ranging from sore throat, fever, sinuses, cough, headaches, ear aches and worst of all a completely, 100%, totally, not-a-drift-is-getting-through clogged nose. So...we are driving home from the store the other day and I start thinking about "what if I HAD to breathe through my nose?" That leads to my next series of thoughts. I began imagining myself having been kidnapped. The bad guys have taped my mouth closed and my only chance of living is to find a way to breath through my nose. So now..I am sitting in the car...with my mouth closed tightly and I am trying to breath through my nose. Of course, like I said...not-a-drift-was-getting-through...but I am so caught up in my little "scenario" that I just keep telling myself that to live..I MUST find a way to breath through my nose. So I concentrate and shuffle the "stuff" in my nose up and down (suck in hard through nostils---blow out hard through nostrils) and wow! I think I might have maybe felt a little teensy bit of breath come through. However...by this point, my eyes are beginning to water because it has been so long since I've had a good breath. Still, I keep playing along with the movie in my head telling myself that this could actually happen some day and I should figure out how to handle it now...while it's not a real emergency. Anyway...long story short...I finally had to give up before I passed out. And I came to the conclusion that I am REALLY grateful to God for giving us an alternate way to breathe besides just our noses! I also pray that no one ever kidnaps me and tapes my mouth shut while I am stopped up because I have proven it folks...I WILL die.
By the way...I think the antibiotics Grant and I got on Tuesday were placebo's or something. Neither of us has gotten any better! What's up with that???

You are TOO funny!
That's what I love about reading blogs...you can really 'get into someone's head' when they write.
