II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Welcome to the Danger Zone...

just an FYI: If you are considering suicide or death...just come stay with us for a bit. We seem to have a knack for killing everything. First it was our fish, then it was the kitty cat and now the crazy chicken. I feel guilty for even THINKING this...but I sure hope our old dog Sam isn't next. He's the last living thing we have...(and that includes my garden and all my plants). This hot summer sun is sucking the life out of everything. Too bad God couldn't dole out all that rain we had and all this sun we're getting in little doses each day instead in months at a time.
Anyway, no more Elmo, the chicken. He's been gone since Saturday.

Don't feel to bad Jen we've had a bit of that of that going on lately to. When I came home from work the night before last I was met at the door by Jordan holding a box with his little yellow parakeet Santa brought him for christmas. She was fine when I came for lunch. Jordan said she just fell over dead.

Oh No Jen! Well, I guess it may be a relief to be rid of the "crazy chicken" though....Hummm....a kitty missing, a chicken missing....maybe Sam caught them? :o Surely not sweet ole Sam.....

We have killed all of our fish...I don't know what is wrong. Stephen cleans the tank, and does everything right to acclimate them to the water. then they live for a few months, and next thing we know, they are floating! The only one we haven't managed to kill is our "sucker fish". Go figure!

Surely Sam will be OK. He is a little trooper, and such a Great Dog! I remember that you had him, even when we worked together in OK. How old is he now? That was 9 years ago (when we worked together).

Maybe the coyotes are really getting into the fence. That or you have a case of runaway syndrome and not death syndrome. Haha. I don't think you are the reason. Maybe they are just going back to their regular home. Well not Sugar of course. What a bummer.

That's a nice thought, Amos...that they are just running away...but we know better than that for a fact now. Last night we found the remnants of Elmo's body laying in the yard. A leg, some bones and lots of feathers. Ugh! Gross! Oh well....I think I may take the kids down to the animal shelter and find a new kitty (to kill). No just kidding...that's awful of me to say...but it's the sad truth when you have a kitten outdoors in the country....it does happen. Anyway, we were sad to see that Elmo really was indeed dead for sure.
