II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

You know what really bugs me???

...the "How May We Help You?" on the backs of the Wal-Mart vests. What is the point in that? First of all...I can NEVER find a "worker" in the department I need help in or even in the surrounding departments for that matter. AND..if by some stroke of luck I do find a "worker"...almost ALWAYS their reply to my question is "oh, I don't know...I just started working here." AUGHHHH!!! ERGHHH!!! That is SO irritating! Plus, they almost always act as though I am interrupting them. Is that not what they are there for? My MIL has worked at Wally-World for a number of years now and I can tell you why none of the workers know anything.....because they pay them SO EXTREMELY poorly...that no one can afford to work there long enough to really "learn" the store. Shoot...I am probably more familiar with the store than half the people working there. I know...I could 'NOT' go there anymore if I hate it so much...but where else am I going to go? Target is too far away and doesn't carry all the same things..plus they are way over-priced on their groceries. I guess that is the monopoly Wal-Mart has on us all....if you want the lowest prices...you have to deal with all the crappy service. And another thing while I am on my Wal-Mart soap-box....why the HECK do they have 30 or 40 checkouts when they only have about 5 of them going at any one time? What is the point in that? Monday night (8:30 pm) I ran in to get lunchmeat and bread. I was in a major hurry and just to prove that I could be FAST, I told my mom to watch the clock and time me. Well, it was no use that I was FAST....there were only 3 check-outs open and each of them had about 6 people with HUGE carts full of groceries in them. Even the "speedy check-out" which is an oxymoron by the way....had a line in it 8 people long. It ended up taking me 23 minutes just to grab bread and lunchmeat. Is that crazy or WHAT? Well, anyway, I know this is not a very "positive" post after my last one of inspiring quotes....but, it's reality. So now I'm wondering...what really bugs you guys???

I totally agree, I gave up even looking or asking a LONG time ago. It is pointless. Although I must say, I have been to Target lately and there stuff has been on sale and cheaper than Walmart. So I have switched to Target for most of my stuff. I still get a few things at wally world but not the bulk of it anymore. Plus for me Target is a northern based company so they have a lot of the northern products that I am used to and like.

Thank you for finally saying those things that I have been thinking for so long! I too have always hated that "ask me, I can help" joke on the back of their vests! AND I too think I know their store better than their workers b/c I am there so much! AND I always say to my husband "why in the world did they pay for all those checkout lines when I have NEVER seen all of them in use...EVER!!...not even during Christmas rush!" AND yah, the express checkout joke...I hate that one too!!!
But, in Walmart's defense, according to my friend that recently moved to Austria...she says that the stores there ALL close a 6pm every week day and most are not open at all on Sunday's and 1/2 on Saturday's and you have to go to a ton of stores just to get everything you need. She misses Wal-mart! So, we both just think about that the next time we are at Wal-Mart...it could be worse...

Well this is a rant im am familier with. it too bothers me when they workers have no clue where to find things. But i also know how hard it is to live on the wages that are given so its imposible to stay very long... however with the issue of checkouts... most of the time my wal mart has all ove the checkouts open.. however some of those people could help better iof they were out showing people where things are... and as for target, we dont have one in saskatchewan so its walmart of zellers.. zellers is closer to home but usually more expensive! so its a trade off.. somehow i dont think this industry will ever be perfected
