Today is it...the big day. The day my significant other turns OLD! He's taking it well though. We are about to go out to dinner as soon as Kendra, our babysitter, gets here. He's been working night and day (literally) for about 3 days now, so I am really looking forward to this time together. I wish we could have done something more exciting to celebrate...but having a birthday smack-dab in the middle of the week makes it a little hard to plan much. At least we are going to meet up with his brother and his wife on Saturday for dinner---so that will be fun.
In other news...I have vowed to never take Brooklyn to school late again. This is why: Every morning on the way to school, we say our prayers. We go through the list of "usual" things...like praying for angels to protect us, for the students to be obedient and so on...but this week, this is what I heard, "Dear God, PLEASE, please, PLEASE don't let me be late to school today!" Awwwwwww...I felt so bad. So anyway, even if it means I have to go to town in my pajamas, I won't let her be late anymore! Thank goodness school is almost out!! ha ha
