I walked into my living room this morning and bent over to pick up what I thought was a bead. The kids love to make necklaces and bracelets and I figured this was one of their beads that had gotten left in the carpet. So, I pick it up. Turn it over and over. Squeeze it and think to myself, "Man, this is awfully squishy for a bead!" Then I realized what I was holding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a PUFFER TICK!! A tick swollen about 200 times its normal size from sucking the blood of one of my doggies probably. AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
And if that wasn't bad enough, just a foot away was ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!
DEEES GUSSSS TINGGGG!!!
I don't know how we are getting these NASTY things because both of my dogs are on the mega-pricey Frontline for ticks and fleas. At $34 a month, that stuff BETTER be working. I guess it's not though since I found these 2 little (BIG) critters.
I took a pic for you all before I flushd them because I just KNEW you'd want to see! Especially those of you who don't get this priveledge very often! ha ha...
I put a penny beside them so you could get an idea of how big they were. They were so fat they couldn't even walk!! (sadly, I've been there before!)

Okay that is totally nasty. and reinforces a lifelong fear I've had of ticks ever since my parents found one on my neck when I was a kid and had played in the woods. YUCK!
Oh I would have freaked out! I wouldn't have even been able to take a picture. YUCK.
OH!! I SO remember those things from when we lived there!! Grover would bring them in and they would be so blow up...their head was dissapearing!! I did the same exact thing one time...I squeezed one not knowing what it was and nasty blood when everywhere...I then vomited...LOL!!
y-uuuuu-ck!!!! ;p
I keep trying to vote on your poll but it keeps giving me an error...
Candy
I'm speechless. Ick. Ick.
P.S. Happy Father's Day to Matt! (not fair to lump his wishes in with the ticks but oh well)
