So...I am not happy...nor am I surprised with this weeks weigh in. It was 146. So I gained a pound. Whatever. I haven't been really trying this past week...ever since I went to my neice's house last Wednesday, I have kinda just been eating whatever I wanted...so it's no shock to see I put on a pound. Plus...the scale always fluctuates some...so you never know what it might say tomorrow. Either way, I am going to start again today watching my calories. My boobs are tender as heck today...so it's probably about THAT time again. Oh Joy!
So those of you watching Biggest Loser...what do you think about last nights show? CRAZY! I hate it how things are so "Hollywood" this season. Way too much drama for my liking. Can't we just keep it about losing weight and being healthy? What in the HECK is with all the temptations to eat the junk food? Are we trying to help these people LOSE weight or GAIN it? I mean, come on! It's like "if you'll eat this big pile of crap...we'll reward you!!" Grrrrr.....
Anyhow, I was really bummed/shocked that Neil gained 17 pounds---no matter how/why he did it. That is NOT the goal/purpose of this show. Or should I say game? Maybe that's all it really is to these people. Kae is about the only one who I think is truly completely sincere and dedicated to this. Otherwise, more people would have opted out of that temptation. Haven't they learned ANYTHING?
Jez unknowingly decided his own fate by picking Neil and Isabeau. What a bummer for him...but then I don't have much sympathy for him since he hate 2000+ friggin calories to get that "opportunity". What a ding-a-ling!
So, what do you guys think about how this season is shaping up?

I fell asleep at the end, so I'll have to go home and watch the ending tonight. funny you mention the drama. DH and I were watching last night and he goes "What's with all the drama this season?" I really wish there was more focus in eating well, working out, etc. than the sabotaging that they're all doing. Yes, there may be a big prize at the end for 1 contestant, but the purpose of losing the weight is the transformation everyone is making along the way to becoming smaller, not outdoing others for a monetary prize!
Somehow I lost some weight, less than a pound, on our trip to TX. But this week, I haven't worked out once and I really can't say I feel guilty about it. Guess I just needed a break. Getting back into my routine tomorrow though
Don't forget today's Conch Day on the Couples Connect blog! And don't beat yourself up about the pound. Whenever I'm feeling guilty about what I've eaten, I try to remember what I ate two weeks ago to the day...I never can remember, which encourages me that today's meal will soon fade from my memory too. :o)
I know! What is up with this DRAMA. I am really beginning to get mad...especially at NEIL! That little weasel! Gaining 17lbs in one week, just to make your team go to the elimination...to get one of the black team members voted off?! I was FURIOUS! This is about "losing weight" it's not SURVIVOR! (I hate that show, due to all the "alliances". Puh-leeze!)
Ok, so I am still fuming about the show...i just watched it this afternoon, and I couldn't believe what I saw. I thought Neil should be kicked off for that little stunt...it would have served him right.
Oh, and the Drama with Amy...She is so whiny! All I can think is "suck it up! you did this to yourself, now get your butt up there and do the workouts, no bawling in the gym! Just do it!" I wish she would have went home last week, instead of Phil. She deserved to be sent packing, he didn't! (Oh, and don't even get me started on her switching to Jillion).
I do like Kae the best. I think she is there for the right reasons, and she has what it takes to make it. She is devoted, and is doing everything right. Just watch, at the final show, she is going to look AMAZING!
No kidding, the Drama is way beyond the real purpose of the show. These people are getting messed with, not taught how to lose the weight. All of these 3 and 4 pound losses are crazy when they are so big. I agree with everything you and everyone else said. It has definitely gone tooooo Hollywood.
