Yea, but these charts are never accurate or account for "muscle". If you workout a lot, and have more muscle than the average person, then it will say you are overweight.
The nurse's usually tell me I must be underweight, but then I step on the scale and they can't believe that I am at the top of my healthy weight range. "Muscle weighs more!"
When I was a personal trainer I used to have people "guess" my weight. No one ever believed how much I actually weighed, so I would get on the scales and show them...then they would be like "wow!" and I would tell them it isn't about a number on the scale, it is how you look and feel!It seemed to help them overcome their own personal fear of the scales.
The scale is your friend...it helps you keep your weight in check. I weigh once per week, so that I can make sure my weight never gets away from me. If I notice it going up a few pounds, I just make sure I'm working out and that I am not over-eating. (If I know I've been eating bad, or too much, I just say -No more seconds, or desserts until it comes back down). :)
I did the google search on your chart. Did you notice that at the bottom it says Metropolitian Life Insurance Company of 1983? That is way too outdated to take that seriously I think. And it's like 5 pounds difference for you, JEN, That is NOT Overweight!!!!
