keepin' up with the joneses...

A few pics of the kids I couldn't resist putting on here. Brooklyn is getting SOOO grown up. Sometimes I can't believe she's ALREADY eight...and other days I can't believe she is ONLY eight. She's got the sassiest attitude ever...but she is also the most tender, precious girl on the inside. So, so compassionate and thoughtful. We're realizing that NOW is the time to start really guarding her heart and mind, as the world (devil) would love to grab ahold of her from here on out.

So, do you think she looks like me? It's crazy how some people will say she looks "just like me" and then other people will say "she sure takes after her daddy". She might get her red hair from her daddy, but the girl has the exact replica of my body structure. Also, if you compare pics of me at age 8 to her...about the only difference you will see is the color of the hair! I'm not sure what that says about her future "looks." Hopefully she thinks her mamma is pretty since she might be stuck looking just like me! EEEeeeek!

And of course, here is my little man. This was taken at the batting cages a couple of weeks ago (shortly after we cut all his long hair off!) He wraps me tighter around his little finger every day. I'm telling you---between him and his daddy---I am totally whipped. He is playing T-ball this spring and I can't wait to see how he wow's everybody with his skillz. The kid has got mad-baseball hitting skillz. He rarely misses a hit, no matter how lousy the pitch (or pitcher ie. his mommy). There will be lots more baseall pics to come as the season gets started! And for the record...who do you think HE looks like? Again, we hear both sides...some say he looks like me (the dark hair) others say he looks just like his daddy. He may get his dark hair from me but he definitely has his daddy's body structure---tall, lean and thin. (NO FAIR! :o)
