II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

April flowers bring May showers...

Okay....whoever is still praying for rain can stop. We've had our share now. (ha ha) I should have known if we bought a pool, it would start raining! Last summer, some of you may remember, we tried for a couple of months to go to the water park in our area and every time, it either rained or something last-minute came up. We actually finally made it there the last weekend of the summer that they were open and it was so fun. We were totally bummed out that we'd have to wait a whole 'nother year to go again. It seems our swimming luck hasn't changed. Now that we have finally made the big jump from cheap-little-kiddie-pool to big-expensive-real-pool, we have either had rain or it's been too cool to swim in it. The only person who has been crazy enough to brave it is Brooklyn and that is because when you're 5, you don't care that it's only 75 degrees outside with 15 mph winds and that the pool temperature is probably somewhere in the 50 degree range. What is it about being a kid that makes your skin so thick? Ya ever notice how everyone will be bundled up and shivering outside except for a couple of kids who will be running around playing in short-sleeved t-shirts and shorts, not even aware of the chill in the air? It's crazy, huh? Well, anyhow, while I am very grateful for all the rain we have received and my grass and garden have already shown much progress...I will really be excited when I can actually take a dip in my new pool too! Maybe next week.....
In other news, our little guy was diagnosed with strep throat today. He ran a really high fever yesterday (104.4) for most of the day and was really cuddly and clingy. Today, he seemed totally fine and better until he woke up from his nap saying that his tongue hurt and letting his mouth hang open and drool flow freely. I was able to get him a last-minute dr. appointment and it's a good thing I did. I would have hated for him to be miserable all weekend!
So, that's about all that's happening around here. Matt and dad are keeping busy-busy finishing up his shop-building (which I will take a new picture of real soon for you all to see). I am looking forward to a relaxing Saturday, cuddling with my babies and maybe doing a teeny-tiny bit of housework. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and take some time to relax. Don't forget to get your mom (or wife) a mother's day gift and card! It's only a week away! (Yes, that goes for you too honey! and Yes, I know, I am not your mother...but until the kids have their own jobs...you WILL be held responsible!) ha ha ha....I love you all! Good Night.
