II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

10 years ago......

Wow! 10 years ago this month I graduated from high school! In a way it seems crazy to think it's been that long, but in another sense, it seems like a lifetime ago. So, So, So much has changed since 1996. In 1996, a gallon of gas was 96 cents!!! Lucky, Guess and Dr. Martins were the name brands everyone wanted and I drove a white Pontiac Firebird that was pretty darn cool. The Macarena was the dance craze and Shania Twain and Mariah Carey were topping the charts. More facts about me from my senior year: I went to the prom alone, I graduated 17th in my class with a 4.0 gpa and I was voted "Best Eyes" by my senior class. My favorite TV shows were Oprah and Jenny Jones. (little did I know I would BE Jenni Jones someday! ha ha) My favorite movies were Ace Ventura, Happy Gilmore and Father of the Bride. Looking back, things were really so simple then...when my biggest worry was that I'd have a bad hair day or get a pimple. While my high school years bring some fond memories, they also make me appreciate where I am now. In my Senior Memories book, I listed out where I thought I would be in 10 years. These were my predictions: I expected I would be a 3rd grade teacher, married with 3 children and 1 dog. I had hoped I would be living in a 2-story house and be driving a new Toyota Camry. Hmmph! Not exactly where I am today...but I'd say I am doing even better than I had hoped for! I certainly got a husband who far surpassed anything I could have dreamed of and my children have made my life complete. I am glad I took the time to reflect on the past 10 years. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of life and forget how blessed we are! Hope you enjoyed this little travel back in time with me! Thanks to all my friends who have kept up with me throughout these past 10 years!

Amazing how fast life goes after high school, isn't it? You are cute in those photos.

Thanks for checking out my blog, I love that you love it. :)) That's why I write, and I am glad that you enjoy it. I love doing it.

I loaded your page twice, but for some weird reason, your background (light tan) where the posts are is not loading completely. Because the text is light, it can't be seen against the dark background. Not sure if it is my system or your blog, but thought you should know.
