II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

SKG The Final Date

Tonight was our last date in our Secret Keeper Girl book. This time Daddy got to come along to "affirm her beauty." We were extremely generously blessed by a friend with a gift card to go to a VERY posh and pricey resturant. What a treat! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for our "princess" to feel special! She even got to order a (non-alcoholic, of course) Strawberry Daquiri with whipcream on top in a fancy glass. (Major big deal when you're 9!)

As a special gift, we got her a beautiful Bible; her first "real" one. It is dark brown "chocolate" leather with really pretty scrolling embossed in it. We also had her name embossed on the bottom in a really cute, girly font. The coolest thing about it is that the sides of the pages are printed, so that when it is closed, it has a very cute design. I sort-of got some pictures of it.

After we ate, we walked around the shops that surround the restaurant. I couldn't resist a few good picture opportunities!

Daddy's Little Girl!

Me and Brooklyn, best buddies!

She LOVED this area where there are benches and big clocks and statues and lots of pretty landscaping! But nothing excited her more than getting to see and go into a REAL old-timey phone booth. It actually had a working pay phone in it (I didn't realize the even still have those anymore!) but it costed .50 cents and I only had 1 quarter, so very disappointingly, she didn't get to make a call. But she still pretended.....haha

We ended up going into Pier 1 and finding a selection of masks. We had lots of fun trying them on:

Matt the skeleten ? and Me as Catwoman!
Brooklyn really wanted one of these masks, which I thought were fantastic...until I saw the price! Eeek! This one I have on I do NOT like. It's kinda freaky looking to me. And the one below of Matt...ick! I don't like the "full mask" look...kinda scary. The half-face ones are fun though!Lastly, I'm leaving you with a hilarious picture of our dog Kinley. She is an 8 pound yorkie and the other day when I was cleaning up Mr. Potato Head parts, I noticed that these yellow glasses looked like they might fit her perfectly. I slid them on and they DID! HA HA! She even kept them on for a while. It was like they didn't bother her at all! Hilarious!
