II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

yes! Yes! YES!

Matt and I have been reading Colossians lately. And when I say that I mean...chapter 1-over and over and over. You may think...why would you keep reading the same chapter again and again?? Well, I'll tell you. It is SO PACKED with treasures, that it takes some T-I-M-E to unwrap it all.
Get a load of just this "chunk" of scripture:

Colossians 1:9-14 (btw--the "we" is Paul and Timothy--writing to the church at Colosse)
(9) We have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. (10) Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
(11) We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, (12) always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. (13) For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, (14) who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

Man--is there ANYTHING else? I mean...this is so good...so WHAT I WANT, that I just can't fathom going onto the next chapter yet. I want every word of these 5 scriptures to just SOAK into my brain and into my heart!

Sorry---it's one of those my-heart-is-pounding-in-my-chest-and-I'm-just-so-pumped-right-now-that-I-can't-even-get-the-words-out-straight days for me. I hope--I PRAY--that you will catch this fire too. Let it burn in your heart. Let it change your life!!

So Awesome!! I am a HUGE Paul groupie (Although I favor the directness of Ephesians to most others) but I agree, there is so much POWER in the words written on the pages. You know, it says that in the beginning was the word and the word was made flesh(Jesus)...I can totally relate when I read Paul's letters because there is something SO ALIVE about it, it has to be God!

Glad you shared, it blessed me FOR SURE today!
