II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

just to be safe: For Matt

Honey if you read this, I just want you to know that I don't actually HAVE any plans for Valentines Day yet...so if you want to take the reins...they're all yours! Just let me know you're planning something so I don't. Otherwise I'll proceed.
Now in reality---he'll probably never read this, probably doesn't even know for sure what day Valentines Day is and probably wishes I would quit making such a big deal out of it!
He is not the kind of guy who appreciates big to-do's. A nice simple night at home is more his speed. Why God made us so different in this aspect and put us together, I'll never know. We are completely 100% opposite on the issue of celebrations. Oh well....

"Oh well" is right! That's how I feel when it comes to holidays and special events. But if you've got a man who loves you and treats you right, we have to overlook these things, right? Right? AGH!!!! :o)

That's okay Jen I have one of those too. After 12 years of marriage I have just come to overlook it. We love each other and we will be together forever, I guess that is all that matters. Although, it would be awesome to be surprised on one of those specials holidays.

then maybe try something new this year. You say you're always let down after putting so much effort into big celebrations. Why not try celebrating Matt's way this year. You may be surprised at how nice a quiet evening home might be. Who needs all the hoopla if the meaning of the day is just loving each other?
