II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

I just want to {SCREAM!}

I just walked into my office to sit down to work. I happen to look down at my expensive, custom-made mouse pad from The Picture People with my sweet children's picture on it and THIS is what I saw:

LOL!!!! I'm sorry, I know if I was you, I would be FURIOUS!
But seriously, that is funny when you think about it. Classic sibling rivalry! :)
Have you tried to clean it yet, to see if it will come off?

I probably wouldn't take it too lightly myself. Actually destroying property isn't a good thing. Whats next the wall's or comments on the bedroom door. You didn't say who didn't so I am assuming it was Brooklyn, and if I'm wrong please correct me. But try to find a fitting consequence for the act. Maybe no computer for a while or no markers. Maybe even doing good deeds for her brother for a little while. I hope you can clean it up back to new, but regardless of whether it comes clean or not. She needs to learn to have some respect for someone elses property no matter what.

Oh, the Joys of Children...Ü

I'm sorry...but I can't stop laughing!!!

I know it's frusterating now but I guarantee you it will be one of those hilarious stories that you all sit and reminice about when the kids are grown and have kids of your own! I bet you'll even keep it that long too. Serious...you will totally remember that mouse pad now whereas before you probably would have eventually thrown it away once they grew up some.

I agree though that destruction of property is not acceptable. I personally would make her use her allowance to replace it and possibly other consequences. I'm sure you'll find punishment to fit the crime...we Mom's can get pretty creative when it comes to such things!

P.S....still laughing!!!

Ha!!! I think it's pretty darn funny!!! Kids will be kids. And that makes the mouse pad even more of a treasure. It is only a mousepad after all - right?
