II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Money doesn't buy happiness????

WhatEVER! For anyone who says that...they can give me their money and I'll let you know...

Today, I GUARANTEE you that money could have brought me MUCH happiness. I had a horrible time mowing today (I told the whole story on my P90X blog) but while I was struggling with the 3rd mower of the day...I hollered "MAN I WISH I WAS RICH!!!!!"
I was expecting Brooklyn to ask me why being rich would help with the mower...but instead she said, "If you were rich, you'd have brown hair and a brown beard and be a man!" ha ha ha ha ha

That was just what I needed to hear. She was talking about our friend, Rich Selleck. At the moment though, I was SO FRUSTRATED that her silly humor sent me into a fit of giggles.
(here's a pic of the RICH Selleck family from last 4th of July)
Really though, we really do need a new mower. We are using everything short of duct tape to hold both of our mowers together. They both have all these little quirks that you have to do...push this wire over here...hold this button tight, squeeze this handle right here...in order to get them to run. It's so easy to overlook it during the winter....but now that we are mowing at LEAST once a week, it would sure be NICE!

Anyway, for now...we have a shop building to rebuild, a boat that has an oil leak to fix (Ugh!), a pool that needs chemicals, a deer head to pay for, yada, yada, yada....

Your daughter's comment is hilarious. This is mlm (AGAIN)...I have a new blog (AGAIN) and thought you'd enjoy it. Actually, there are two, which you can find by clicking on my profile name. But I was thinking you'd definitely have some thoughts on Men Worth Marrying!

We have a few of those types of things too that require an extra push or Duct tape or some quirky thing it needs just to work. It does seem like they all happen at once, doesn't it? Life is Good though through it all! Focus on all the good things that dont take duct tape for now....Ü

Oh how kids can lighten the situation. That comment of her is adorable. To be that innocent again. We have done all we can do to hold our mowers together I think it's time to invest but first we have to put a new roof on the house.

I'm with you! A new car would really make me feel better. I know my hubby knows, and I'm trying to wait patiently on him!

I know money won't make us eternally happy, but at least it would take some stress off our life!! I'm with ya girl!

That is hilarious she thought of that! I know how you feel with the mower. I cannot stand having things being broken and pieced together.

Yes, I know Jaye Grimm. She used to go to our church until they moved. Do you know her? She found me through your blog!
