II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

A vase full of "Spring"

Yesterday morning our doorbell rang. I was greeted at the door by our neighbor's grand-daughter who was bringing me this bunch of fresh cut irises from their garden! I was so pleasantly surprised. Not to dog my husband or anything (you know I love you babe)...but I haven't had fresh flowers in oh---probably a good 3-4 years. I forgot how much I love having them in the house. It just brings a sense of livliness and spring and beauty to the room that nothing else quite can. Maybe next year I'll try to grow some so I can have them for free whenever I want some!

Growing up I had an "adopted" grandfather and grandmother. They lived in town, just a mile and a half from us. He grew Iris' and would bring them to us often. I am glad someone brought you some, they are more then just flowers, they are a kind gesture, and sometimes one that you will remember for life. Thanks for listening to my "sentimental" comment. In honor of them, and my mom, I plan to plant iris', lilacs, and peonies on our land, it is just part of me.

how sweet. I used to have a "ya-ya" next door to me, who was kind of liek another grandma to me. She made my day and I loved bringing little gifts over to her. This girl must know you're pretty special too! Happy Spring!

Yea for you! What a blessing from God. You deserve it Jen!
I love fresh flowers to! Your not alone girl, Stephen doesn't "buy" me flowers because they just die, and it's a waste of money. But he does buy me rose bushes, or bulbs to plant, so then I can have fresh cut flowers all the time.

Those are BEAUTIFUL - and such a sweet gesture!

I've got to give Chris props on the flower thing - he sends them to my work all the time and each week when he goes to the store he brings me back a fresh bouquet. Just because. Love that guy. And you're right - fresh floewrs do something for your mood - especially in the blah winter!!
