II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

12 --- Twelve --- 12

12 is the number of loads of laundry I have done in the past 7 days! NO WONDER I feel like I wash, dry and put away clothes all the time!! Only one of those loads was of sheets/towels. All the other 11 were clothes!
I did 5 on Monday, 3 on Wednesday, 2 on Friday and 2 on Sunday (today). Whew!

Some of you know this...but I am obsessed with the smell of clean clothes---particularly Downy. I could probably sit with an open jug of Downy up to my nose for hours and just inhale the clean, fresh goodness. (but I refrain since someone told me that Downy contains carcinogens). Anyway, I like my clothes to smell WONDERFUL so I am picky about my detergents and softners. I have figured out that if you use the same thing over and over...even if your clothes DO smell good...you can't tell because you get used to that particular scent. So, now I have 2 different kinds of laundry detergent AND 2 different kinds of Downy at all times...so I can rotate back and forth between them! (high-maintenance, I know)

Anyway, it sounds like together, we do a heck of a lot of laundry in a weeks time and I totally envy MLM whose husband offered to do it all for her years back. NO FAIR! ha ha
Thanks ya'll for keeping track with me...and if you haven't finished your "week of counting" yet...just leave me a comment on this post when you get done!

All I can say is WOW!! I am sitting here with my mouth wide open! I only do 3 loads but before my BIG washer and dryer...I still only did 5-6 MAX! You must be doing laundry every single day almost!

I got to thinking about it though...you both workout everyday and that alone would double the laundry as that is two more daily wardrobes to wash. That's probably a major difference right there. And that's a GREAT thing!!

I could not believe it when I counted but from last Tuesday to this Tuesday I did 14 loads of laundry! For only 3 people! And Jason wears work uniforms that get done by a laundry service! I was amazed.

I didn't two weeks ago so I had twice the amount of clothes to wash last week but still! Easton's eating 3-4 jars of baby food a day plus bottles and he's a pretty messy eater so there's all those bibs to wash!

3 loads of darks, 2 loads of whites, 1 load of sheets, 1 load of towels, and SEVEN loads of Easton's clothes.

I wash everything on cold (except whites, they get washed on hot). We use Kirkland (from Costco) brand detergent, Downy fabric softener. E's clothes get washed in Dreft, Spray-n-wash on the stains, no fabric softener and a scoop of Oxyclean when the clothes (and bibs!) are really messy.

Whew! No wonder it feels like the laundry hamper is never empty!
Next you should do a poll about how many loads of dishes you do a week. I swear, I do at least a load a day and sometimes two! A mom's work is never done.
