II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

I thought I was dying...

Oh what a night....we spent 4 1/2 hours in the emergency room last night. I've been battling what I thought was kidney stones all weekend...but the pain was on and off and not unbearable so I was just taking Iburprofen and toughing it out. But then last night!! I woke up at 12:08 with SEVERE INTENSE pain. I had Matt run down to my moms and get me some Lortab. I took 2 and waited about half an hour but the pain wasn't letting up at ALL, so we hopped in the truck and drove to the ER. I was in such pain, I didn't even stop long enough to put on shoes or a bra! I was shaky and felt like I could pass out at any given second. It was the worst pain I've ever endured. I rode the entire way (about 20 minutes) balled up in the fetal position clutching my pillow to my stomach and holding a heating pad on my back. When we finally got to the ER, I hobbled in bent completely in half at the waist and there was no one at the check in desk...but I wasn't about to wait...I just hollered, "HELLOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!". Finally a lady came and totally non-challantly said to fill out some papers and go sit in the waiting room. (which ended up being for half a hour). During that time, I was rolling all around in the floor and on the couch moaning and sweating. Then all of a sudden I told Matt to grab something and I puked my guts out. I'm sure that was a sight. Me there, in my childrens team minister shirt from church, grey yoga pants, no shoes, no bra, mascara running down my face, crazy pink hair and groaning like I am dying! Anyway, Loooooooooooooooong story short, after they did a CT scan of my abdomen, they determined that I have 2 kidney stones. One had made it's way into my bladder (which is good) but the other one was just beginning it's long journey down my ureter and the doc told me to expect plenty more intense pain in the days to come. Oh hooray. They also told me that my kidneys are very swollen and inflamed and at risk of becoming infected and that I should expect my back to be sore for a few days. At 5 a.m., they sent me home with 3 prescriptions (one pain med, one anti-inflammatory and one antibiotic) and gave me a work release for the next 2 days. I asked them if that works to get stay-at-home moms out of cooking/cleaning/childcare...they just laughed. I guess that means, "ya right".

Anyway, right before I left the ER, they gave me some Toradol in my IV and some anti-nausea meds, so I came home and went to bed. Now it's 1 pm and I am up feeling descent. No intense pain...but totally exhausted. BUT...I have to get my work done for the dr. office...so no more rest for the weary! ugh!

So, that's what's been going on with me the past 12 hours. I just hope I don't have to go through it all again! Well, time to get to work.

My sweet sister, I am so sorry, I am just going to stomp the Devil's head for causing you pain.

Mom called me and told me and I felt so impressed to pray right after she called me. I then called Pudgy and many people are praying.

I am believing for you to pass those stones without any further problems or pain.

GOD loves you Jennifer and he will see you through this.

I love you and am here for you if you need anything.

Again I am sorry for what you had to go through.
I love you
Doug
