II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Cheap or Thrifty?

Okay, so tonight after I gave the kids a bath, I grabbed up undies and jammies for Brooke and then jammies for Grant and a pull up. Not a new pull up though. The one he's worn for the past couple of nights. Gross? I don't think so. I mean, he hasn't peed or poo'd in it...he's just worn it to sleep in. Does that make it dirty? I got to thinking about it and had to giggle to myself because I just can't see anyone else I know re-using pull ups day after day. I will use them until they either get "dirtied" or until they start falling apart. I just can't see throwing a perfectly good pull up away just because he's worn it for a little while. But what do ya'll think? Am I nuts? I know I am cheap and I know some of my friends think I am REALLY cheap...but that just seems thrifty to me. What do ya'll think? Does anyone else do that?

No way girl...I did the exact same thing!!!!

And I think if everyone were honest, they would agree.

I had a couple friends that would wait to change their child's diaper until it was so stinking full (of pee) that it was all bloated...to save a penny. That was borderline cheap but hey, who am I to judge? Maybe they 'had' to do that. Besides that, who wants to waste money on "crap catchers?" HA!

We do the exact same thing Jen! Seth is so proud when he gets up and gets to put his pull-up up for the next night. We make a big deal out of it being dry! I told him when he can keep it dry every night for a full week, he can start sleeping in underwear. (He already does for nap time).

But I totally agree. Why throw it away? I give him a bath before bed, so he is clean. He only slept in it, so it isn't really dirty.

Great minds do think alike! :)

Been there, done that. I just considered it recycling and my way of helping the environment by not sending more pull ups to the landfill - not really, I just hate spending money on them.
