II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Welcome to Country Living! This is what I found when I opened my garage this morning. It was actually right at the base of my garage door when I first saw it but then our dog ran up to it and scared it, so it slithered into the grass but I was able to grab my camera and snap a couple of pictures first---so I could prove to my hubby that there really was a BIG snake in our yard and so those of you who think I am SO lucky to live in the country---well, this is what comes with it. Fun, fun! I've had quite an exciting day---at 6:30 this morning I found a mouse in our house and actually stared it straight in the eyes, then the snake and now just a few minutes ago, Brooklyn had her finger stuck in a soda can and Grant grabbed it and so it cut her finger very deep. She had blood running all down her arms! It was quite a sight. I called the dr. office to see if she might need stitches but they said if we could get it to stop bleeding, it'd be okay. Whew!

I guess I am glad to be away from Oklahoma now!!! Chuck has a job interview next week for a job in California...do you think they have snakes that big in California????

What kind was it? Did you kill it? I totally would have run it over with the van!!!!

I was just about to write that Logzie will never visit your house now that you put that picture up there, but it appears that I don't have to tell you that. She already did.

But yeah, I would've freaked out too.

Woo-Hoo, welcome to the country! I have moved out huge trash can (plastic with wheels) to put it down by the road for trash pick-up day, and a huge snake like this was under it! I didn't get scared though, for some reason I just felt like God was telling me to carefully pull it from the front and not step behind it, because there was going to be a snake underneath it. I had never done this or had this happen before, and never felt this quickening of my spirit so stongly when taking out the trash! So I listened and obeyed...then sure enough, slithering out the back (from underneath) was this huge snake! Thank you Lord for warning me!!!! Otherwise I would have FREAKED!!!!
