II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Girls Night out/Shopping with Men...

Last night I went to a Point of Grace concert with a group of 7 girlfriends. It is our local Christian radio station's 30th birthday, so they hosted this free concert at one of the new ENORMOUS churches in our town. Daniel Kirkley was the opening act and then the guy from Avalon was there too. I guess he plays the piano for Point of Grace now and sings with them also. They did the song "Testify" together last night. It was a lot of fun. Afterwards we all went out to eat at a nice Mexican restrurant. It was almost midnight when I got home and it felt really weird being out that late all by myself (without Matt).
Brooklyn spent the night with my mom last night, so today me, Matt and Grant all got cleaned up and went to town to go man-shopping. I call it that because we went places like Lowes, the Bass Pro Shop, Blockbuster and the pool store. We bought our new pool---a 24 foot hard side! They will be coming to install it in the next week or two and then I'll put pictures up for you all to see. Our next big project will be putting in a deck around it! That was pretty exciting. At Lowes, we had to buy all the electrical wire, switches and meter boxes and stuff that we will need for Matt to run electric out to his shop building and to the pool area. (boring...) At the Bass Pro Shop, I chased Grant around while Matt shopped for camo. He is going on a hunting trip the first week of April and pretty much needed everything. I am happy for him because I know he is excited about this and it's been a while since he's gotten to go out with the guys and just have some manly time.
Tomorrow is the volunteer banquet at our church and everyone is supposed to come dressed like cowboys/cowgirls. That will be interesting. I got a new denim skirt this past week at Kohl's for $8 that I think I will wear with my knee-high brown boots and my cowboy/cowgirl?? hat. Matt said he's gonna wear his boots/wranglers/cowboy hat and a bandana. I'll be sure to get some pictures of us, as I am sure they'll be pretty funny.
So, that's what we've been up to this weekend. Nothing too exciting. Will post more tomorrow!
