II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

There's a storm brewin'

So...hi ya'll! It's a little after ten and I should be either working or getting in bed, but instead, I felt like talking/typing. If it weren't for Blogger, I might not get any "adult" conversation some days! Pretty bad, huh? The only "person" I've seen or talked to today that was over the age of 5 is this computer. Usually, it's not this bad, BUT...my mom is still in California and since we've had some thunderstorms today, Matt and my dad have been working since about 6 am this morning and have both called to say they won't be home until sometime tomorrow morning....so it's been just me and the kids allllllllll day. Tonight, after supper (last-night's leftovers), we rode down to the barn on the 4-wheeler to check on the mare who is now 12 days over-due. She still hasn't delivered and isn't really showing any obvious signs that she is about to. However...I will say that for some-odd reason--many horses give birth on stormy nights....so maybe tonight will be the night! As a matter of fact, I think I will go back down there and check on her before I go to bed just to be sure she's okay. It's starting to worry us a little now that she's getting so far over due. Anyway, after we checked on her, we played with play-dough for a while and then decided to run into our little town and get an ice cream. The only place I could find that had any kind of ice cream besides our little grocery store, was Sonic...so that's where we ended up going. We got 1 small Sonic M&M blast and it was really pretty good and was plenty for all 3 of us. Brooklyn was in a big hurry for us to get back home because somewhere, somehow she got it in her head that we were all going to be sucked up into a big tornado. I kept trying to explain to her that just because there is a tornado warning doesn't mean that we ARE going up in it. I couldn't convince her though....so we rushed right home. Even as I type this she is standing right beside me wondering if her daddy and grandpa are going to get "sucked up." Poor thing! There are few things stronger than a childs imagination!
Well, she just said, "Moooooooom, can we Pul-eeze go to sleep now?" so I guess I better end this and get off here. It's pouring out right now...so thanks Amy for the rain!!!
Goodnight!
