II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Practice makes perfect...

Yesterday, May 4th, Grant took his first 3 steps all alone! I didn't get to see it (he was at grandma's house) but according to her, he walked away from the coffee table and took 3 steps before dropping down to crawl! YIPPEE! I know you're not supposed to compare but gosh, Brooklyn walked the day she turned 10 months old so I was starting to wonder about him. Also in big milestones yesterday, he started saying his first deliberate word---"Uh-oh!" Anytime anything drops, we get to hear him say it. It is so cute! He LOVES balls and is actually a pretty good thrower so everytime he picks up the ball and throws it, he follows with an Uh-oh! I have a feeling I am going to be hearing those words following thrown balls for many more years. Hopefully there won't ever be a "crashing" noice afterwards though (signaling he has just broken a window).
Today Brooklyn's preschool is having a Mother's Day Tea. We are both looking forward to it. I don't get to see her in her "school environment" very often so this will be a fun treat. I'll let you know how it goes and keep you updated on Grants progress.
