II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Boys will be boys...

WOW! Yesterday was QUITE a day! First of all my dad, who had surgery on his shoulder for a torn rotator cuff on Monday, began having pain in his low back--which we were fairly sure was a kidney stone. In the midst of him being in this terrible pain, my mom offered to keep Grant so I could go pick up my work. Well, while I was gone, Grant fell into the window sill and busted his head open! Mom called me and said he was probably going to need stitches. I wanted to rush home--but I was lost in downtown Tulsa and it ended up taking me about half an hour to get home. When I did finally get there, we took him to the doctors office where they determined he needed 4 stitches. They began by strapping him to a papoose board to hold him completely still and stiff--which he HATED. Then they gave him a few shots in his forehead to numb him up and then began the stitching. It was terrible. Grant screamed the entire time and I nearly fainted. It was an experience I never want to have again and I am sure Grant agrees. There is not much more awful than seeing your baby in pain and there being nothing you can do about it! Thankfully, he is doing great and we will go back next Friday to have the stitches removed. Hopefully it will be a much more pain-less procedure than putting them in! All in all, I've decided that he IS a boy and if this is the only time he has to get stitches, I can probably count myself pretty lucky! As the saying goes...boys will be boys!
